Risk & Fraud Prevention Policy

At Owldeluxe, we prioritize transaction security and fraud prevention to protect both our customers and payment partners.

Fraud Detection System  
We actively monitor all transactions using Shopify’s built-in fraud analysis tools and additional risk filters.  
High-risk orders are flagged for manual review before fulfillment.

Manual Order Review  
Orders are reviewed based on multiple risk indicators, including:

• Payment method risk level  
• IP address and geolocation mismatch  
• Unusual order behavior or high-value purchases  
• Repeated failed payment attempts  

High-risk orders may be canceled or refunded before shipment.

Geographic Risk Control  
We restrict transactions from high-risk regions and block suspicious IP addresses when necessary.

Chargeback Monitoring  
We monitor dispute and chargeback metrics weekly.  
Our internal target is to maintain a chargeback rate below 0.8%.

Customer Verification  
For high-value orders, we may request additional verification such as identity confirmation or address validation before processing.

Refund-First Resolution  
To prevent disputes, we prioritize resolving customer issues through refunds or replacements before they escalate into chargebacks.

Continuous Improvement  
We continuously refine our fraud prevention processes and operational standards to ensure compliance with Shopify’s policies and industry best practices.
